Tom has over 25 years experience managing large organizations in the Aerospace and Telecommunications arenas. He began his career with Lockheed Martin in 1980 with operational responsibility for U.S. government global telecommunications efforts. Since then he has worked with Lawrence Livermore Labs, Sandia National Laboratories, and several Silicon Valley start-ups. Tom has extensive experience in managing large-scale organizational change, streamlining operations, program management and new business development.
Currently, Tom is the owner of Cambria Coffee Roasting Company on the Central Coast of California.
Mike is an accomplished senior financial and operations professional who has managed all finance and administrative functions, enabling executive teams to focus on achieving product milestones and acquiring customers. Mike is a key contributor to strategic direction of companies that he works with.
MIke is the Director of Finance and Operations for McCurdy & Fuller LLP, a position he has held since August 2010. Prior to McCurdy & Fuller, Mike was the VP of Finance and Administration at Everyone.Net that was acquired by ProofPoint and before that he was CFO for Homes.com which was acquired by Trader Publishing.
Kate Krummel is an Operations Program Manager in People Operations (HR) at Google, a position she has held since 2011. Prior to joining Google, Kate worked for nearly a decade at AonHewitt managing global benefit operations for numerous Fortune 500 companies. After leaving AonHewitt in 2010, Kate worked as an Enterprise Project Manager for US Cellular, a wireless company in the Midwest.
In an effort to unite her passion for baking and her entrepreneurial spirit, Kate launched and managed a successful cookie business for 3 years while living and working in Chicago. To date, Kate continues to enjoy baking as a hobby, much to the benefit of her friends and coworkers.
Julie Eades is Executive Director for Cake4Kids. Prior to joining Cake4Kids as a Board Director, Julie was a Marketing Executive in the software industry. She worked at VMware for almost 8 years and her last few positions included running marketing for the Americas region and running the SMB and Commercial segments globally for the company. Prior to VMware, Julie held various management roles running Channel Marketing at BMC, Peregrine and Remedy. Julie is a seasoned executive with a passion for building businesses and teams.
Julie serves on a number of start-up boards and when not working at Cake4Kids, you will find her on her bike, on her yoga mat or hiking.
Timothy Eades is the CEO of vArmour Networks, a position he has held since November of 2013. With over 20 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and executive management at the CEO level, Tim has deep expertise in driving high growth for computing, security and enterprise software companies. Prior to vArmour, Tim was the CEO at Silver Tail Systems from March, 2010 until the company was acquired by RSA, the security division of EMC in late 2012. Prior to leading Silver Tail Systems, Tim was CEO of Everyone.net, an SMB focused SaaS company that was acquired by Proofpoint. Tim has also held sales and marketing executive leadership positions at BEA Systems, Sana Security, Phoenix Technologies and IBM.
Tim serves on the boards of a number of start-up companies. He also lectures in entrepreneurship at Lehigh University, which he enjoys immensely.
Holly is a trained biologist who has spent the last 17 years in the biotechnology sector through R&D, sales, and marketing at various companies. Holly was last a global product manager for Bio-Rad Laboratories in Hercules in charge of products that have over $40 million in revenue annually. She looks forward to pivoting her experience in the for-profit world to help Cake4Kids expand and serve more children in need.
In her spare time Holly enjoys cooking/baking, running/the great outdoors, traveling, learning about social/community/environmental issues and ways to solve them, and explore new entrepreneurship ideas.
Axelle is currently Head of Strategy for Intel Security, a position she has held since 2012. With over 15 years of experience in strategy and operations, Axelle has deep expertise in devising and executing growth strategy for small and large businesses. Prior to joining Intel, Axelle was a leader at Bain & Company in London then Palo Alto. Prior to Bain, she held several engineering and marketing leadership roles in high tech companies. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and a MSc in Engineering.
Axelle is also President of the Board of Women In Security (WISE) at Intel, a worldwide cohort that helps Intel Security women connect and grow. In her spare time she enjoys cooking/eating worldly food and exploring the great outdoors.
Director of Operations
Alison is responsible for Operations at Cake4Kids. She has been active in many local non-profit organizations and has felt most inspired by the mission of Cake4Kids. She joined Cake4Kids as a baker in 2013 and was eager for the opportunity to become involved in the operations ensuring that as many children as possible felt special on their birthday. In late 2016 she transitioned to run operations after Trish O'Dwyer left to pursue her passion for chocolate making.
Before joining Cake4Kids. Alison spent more than 25 years in the high-tech industry in progressive IT roles through to the executive ranks. Alison is a Bay Area native and lives in San Jose with her husband, Tom. Their 7 children live throughout the Bay Area and Boulder, CO.
Manager of Operations
Prior to joining Cake4Kids, Cristina worked as an operations specialist at a real estate investment and property management company. She has also worked at tech companies and in law firms in administrative / executive assistant roles. She holds a B.A. degree in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from California State University, East Bay and a paralegal certification from San Francisco State University.
After becoming a mom, she began looking for a job in the nonprofit sector. The thought of her own child not having a birthday cake on the most special of days is heartbreaking, and personally connects her to Cake4Kids’ mission.
Manager of Operations
With a passion for baking and volunteering, Lindsay joined Cake4Kids in 2016 as an Operations Manager. Lindsay started her career in event marketing and client services and, while doing so, established corporate volunteer programs to give back to the communities in which she worked.
A Bay Area California native, Lindsay has spent many years volunteering at local nonprofit organizations. She has been dedicated to fundraising, running volunteer programs, and working hands-on in the community. Lindsay now brings this experience and enthusiasm to Cake4Kids.
When she isn't working at Cake4Kids, you can find her cooking, traveling or spending time with her family.
Social Media Manager
Gilly is a Psychology and Child Studies student at Santa Clara University. She plans to go to graduate school to study clinical developmental psychology. While looking for job opportunities in child advocacy during the summer of 2014, she found Cake4Kids and fell in love with the mission. As a college student she wasn't able to dedicate a lot of time to baking cakes but wanted to help in another way. She is now part of the Social Media/Marketing team and loves sharing all the beautiful cake photos and the Cake4Kids mission online.
